Ferrari president Luca di Montezemolo has defended the tactics of his team in Sunday’s German Grand Prix at Hockenheim.
Fernando Alonso claimed victory ahead of teammate Felipe Massa but the Italian marquee was later fined 100,000 dollars by race stewards who ruled that Massa had deliberately slowed down to allow the two-time world champion pass for victory.
The incident has also been referred to the World Motor Sport Council, leading to the possibility of Ferrari receiving a greater penalty.
Di Montezemolo accused Ferrari’s critics of hypocrisy, saying team orders have been an integral part of Formula One throughout the history of the sport.

Trisha is getting ready for her role in the remake of the Tamil blockbuster Vinnaithaandi Varuvaayaa in Hindi. Directed by Gautham Vasudev Menon, VTV enchanted the audience with its music and the sizzling hot on-chemistry between Trisha and Silambarasan.
In fact, the pair is being touted as one of the best on-screen couple in Kollywood. Though Trisha had earlier performed a variety of roles, her oh-so-lovely character as Jesse in VTV was her best effort till date and earned applause from fans and critics as well.
“The film is a love story with just me and the guy in central roles. I’ve already done the Tamil
version of this film Vinnaithaandi Varuvaaya. Now the same director, Gautham Menon, is remaking it in Hindi with Prateik and me,” Trisha says, adding “I think we should be kick-starting it in August.

Nokia is trying hard to promote its obsolescent Symbian operating system, claiming that it will shift 50 million devices running Symbian in the coming years.
After posting dire financial results, embattled Nokia CEO Olli-Pekka Kallasvuo tried to put some positive spin on the company’s 40 percent drop in profits for the quarter. Apparently the Symbian^3 operating system that the firm bunged into its flagship N8 smartphone is wildly popular with mobile network operators. “The feedback from operators on the N8 and Symbian^3 has been very good,” said Kallasvuo.
The CEO, who pleaded for an end to the speculation regarding whether or not he’ll be shown the door, is pinning his and the firm’s future on Symbian succeeding. “I’m optimistic that the N8 will be the first step towards overcoming the challenges we face at the high end of our portfolio,” said Kallasvuo, before he had to deal with the fact that Nokia had announced that all future N-series devices will actually be loaded with its Meego operating system.

A Chandigarh court on Saturday issued arrest warrants against IPL franchise Kings XI Punjab co-owners actress Preity Zinta and industrialists Ness Wadia and Mohit Burman for failing to appear before it on a complaint accusing them of not filing its balance sheets andannual returns. However, actress Preity Zinta has denied media reports that bailable arrest warrant was issued against her for failing to appear before a court.
Preity posts on her Twitter account, “No summons had been served on me by d CJM Chandigarh wid regards to appearing in any court case against me today. I have since learnt that no arrest warrants have been issued in my name. My legal team is looking further into the matter (sic)”.
Agencies earlier today reported that a case against the Kings XI Punjab owners was filed by the Registrar of Companies (ROC) office in April, accusing them of not submitting their balance sheet and returns.

For the need of cheap social networking phones to compete with the low budget phone market, Nokia had announced the launch of Nokia C3 and Nokia C6 handsets earlier this year. The release month or price wasn’t made clear, but now Nokia has dropped a hint on the official release of Nokia C3 and C6 in India.
Nokia has confirmed on its official twitter page the Nokia C3 will be launched in India in third week of August, while the Nokia C6 should be available in the first week of September. On its Twitter Page, Nokia has responded to @Krazyfrog and @Umanghome (Check screenshot below). This is definitely a good news for Indian customers as these phone are portrayed highly for it cheap prices at good features.

Chile have been among the most eye-catching South American teams at this tournament yet Brazil made them look ordinary in Johannesburg, advancing to a quarter-final against Holland and leaving few in any doubt that winning this World Cup is likely to involve knocking Dunga’s or Diego Maradona’s team out of the competition.
On current form a Brazil versus Argentina final seems both likely and logical, though perhaps Holland or Germany can put a word in for Europe at the weekend. Certainly Brazil were irrepressible here, not at all flattered by a three goal margin of victory and displaying some of the famously attacking fluency that Dunga is supposed to have extinguished.
When they needed it, that is. With Chile beaten by half-time, Brazil played the second half with something in reserve, always conscious that bigger challenges lie ahead.
“Everyone wants to see open football and we played very quickly,” Dunga said. “The Netherlands play a quick game too, they are a good technical team, a bit like South Americans. The quality of our players allows me to be calm about what comes next.
